UCT is looking for a talented IT Intern to join us in Malaysia! The IT Intern will support the IT department with various supports and projects related to the maintenance, development, and enhancement of our IT infrastructure. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain practical experience in a professional environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
• Support the development and maintenance of internal applications and systems.
• Help manage and resolve IT support requests from employees.
• Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, network improvements, and security enhancements.
• Contribute to the documentation of IT processes, procedures, and user guides.
• Perform data entry and analysis to support IT operations and decision-making.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless IT service delivery.
• Stay updated with the latest IT trends and technologies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Technical Knowledge:
  • Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and IT infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux).
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#) and databases is a plus.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Technical Skills:
  • Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software.
  • Basic coding skills and the ability to learn new programming languages quickly.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other common software tools.
• Analytical Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform data analysis and generate meaningful insights.
  • Capacity to learn and apply new technical concepts and tools.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and IT infrastructure.
• Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux).
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#) and databases is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
