Job description

1. IT Infrastructure Management:

  • Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and software systems.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal uptime and reliability.

2. Technical Support:

  • Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain a helpdesk system to log, track, and resolve user requests and incidents.

3. IT Security:

  • Implement and maintain IT security policies and procedures to safeguard company data and systems.
  • Stay current with cybersecurity best practices and ensure the organization is protected against threats.

4. Project Management:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute IT projects, including system upgrades, installations, and migrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Consult with IT vendors and service providers, including contract negotiation and performance evaluation.
  • Ensure cost-effective procurement of IT equipment and services.

5. Policy Development:

  • Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficient IT operations.
  • Educate staff on IT policies and best practices.

6. Technology Assessment:

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to recommend improvements and innovations in the IT infrastructure.
  • Create technology roadmaps and provide input for IT strategy.

7. Knowledge Management:

  • Create and maintain documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and inventory of IT assets.
  • Share knowledge and best practices within the team to facilitate consistent and effective problem-solving.
  • Prepare reports on IT activities, performance, and issues for management.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in IT administration and support roles.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, hardware, and software.
  • Familiarity with IT security practices and protocols.
  • Project management skills and experience managing IT projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant IT certifications are a plus.
