ABOUT THE JOB
This is an exciting time for our company! A lot of work is about to get done as the company scales. We are in full transition from a European leading service provider of airport equipment solutions to a global leader.
Are you ready to make a significant impact with your technical expertise? We are seeking an IT Business Partner to join our dynamic IT Team. As the primary point of contact for our company, you will provide exceptional support to end users, ensuring efficient resolution of their IT questions and issues. This position will be based in our Group Shared Services Department in Cyberjaya.
WHERE YOU’LL CREATE THE MOST IMPACT
Infrastructure and Application Support:
- Provide hands-on technical support to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for local users.
- Monitor and maintain IT network, workstations, and peripherals to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Assist end-users with software installation, updates, and configurations.
- IT-Onboard of new users (laptop, mobile phone, account, IT security training, …)
- Collaborate with the global IT team to resolve escalated technical issues efficiently.
- Fully responsible for the IT stock in the region:
- CMDB 100% up to date
- Replace laptops/switches/Wi-Fi/tablets according to IT plan
- Order IT material with local IT vendor for the region
Overview of all the IT tickets in the region:
- Basic ticket solving
- Request the users for extra input
- Request the assignee of the ticket for updates and timings
- Standardize tickets to make sure Service Desk can solve these efficiently
- Maintain strong relationships with local IT vendors for the procurement of hardware, software licenses, and IT services.
- Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effectiveness in all IT-related purchases.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to make informed vendor selections.
- Manage the mobile and fixed telephony contracts
Standardization and Best Practices:
- Implement and enforce group IT standards and best practices at the local level.
- Promote new and existing IT services in the TCR entities.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with security and data protection policies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the local IT environment.
APAC Growth Support:
- Collaborate with the APAC expansion team to provide IT solutions and infrastructure support for new sites and offices.
- Ensure the timely deployment of IT resources and systems to meet the needs of growing business operations.
- Assist in planning and executing IT-related projects to support the expansion.
- Follow-up of all IT projects within the region:
- New/Move/Extension/Close of workshops or offices
- IT improvement in the workshops or offices, such as Wi-Fi, cabling, switches
WHAT MAKES THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience as IT Support, preferably in an international company.
- Passionate about IT and driven to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Possesses IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Azure or Microsoft Server, Office365, Security and Networking and IT service desk experience will be an added advantage.
- Experience in deploying or project management of IT projects
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric mindset.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written.
