All about the role:

As the Sr. Lead for Power BI (PBI), you will be working closely with our business stakeholders in the end-to-end delivery of Power BI projects. You will be responsible for capturing, documenting, designing, and building Power BI solutions for our business. This role will work closely with our Data Engineering teams to implement completed data analytical solutions from source to dashboarding.

Working closely with our business stakeholders, you will also be expected to participate in the ground-up implementation of a full Data Governance framework that places data at the core of the business.

As a member of the Data Team, you will be an early adopter of all data management and governance practices and are encouraged to think outside the box in this job.

The role will require supporting and leading other functions like Data Visualization, Vendor Management, and Architecture to ensure seamless delivery and accuracy of data to drive decision-making.

Effective cross-functional collaboration skills are desired in the ideal candidates.

What you’ll do:

1. Power BI Business Engagement
   • Work with business to understand requirements and propose viable Power BI solutions.
   • Support Power BI team in managing Change requests (CRs), Incidents (INCs), and Continuous Improvement (CIs).
   • Translate new Power BI demands into technical requirements with timelines and costs.
   • Provide Power BI design, solution options, and recommendations that meet requirements.
2. Data Governance
   • Develop a sound understanding of business data across the business and how it is used and consumed.
   • Functional and technical understanding of current Power BI reports.
   • Develop a sound understanding of Data Warehouse and Dimensions and Cubes.
   • Ensure SOPs are followed from start to end of Power BI solution delivery.
   • Support our BA EA business on ensuring timely delivery of BI insights, reports, and dashboards.
3. Power BI Project Management
   • Project Management of large and complicated Power BI projects.
   • Sound understanding of preparing project resources, project tasks, and timelines.
   • Working with vendors and suppliers on key Power BI projects.
4. Power BI Data Visualization
   • Provide end-user training when required for new BI solutions.
   • Assist in conducting workshops and demos to the business on BI capabilities.
   • Work with Global BI teams on future BI projects and solutions.

In this role, you will be dealing with Electrolux’s internal customers. You should be confident in dealing with leaders from both a country and region-level perspective.

For you to succeed in this role, you should be:

Power BI Lead Solution Design:

• Leading in design, specification, and selection of BI solutions with specific focus on functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure, and performance.
• Analyze BI requirements and design/develop BI Reporting solutions to support standard reporting, Dashboard, and self-service environment.
• Analyze requirements and architect appropriate solutions, with detailed design documents.
• Ensure documentation is up to date.

Data and Data Warehouse Architecture:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define the business layer and presentation layer of the BI Model that is business-friendly and supports a self-service environment.
• Review the current BI architecture and recommend changes as appropriate.
• Ensure the product/solution architecture is scalable and extensible.

Business Partnering:

• Collaborate with cross-business teams to gather and document BI requirements.
• Be the primary contact for questions about existing BI reports and Dashboards.
• Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
• Coordinate and organize Demos, Proof of Concept (POVs), and user acceptance testing (UATs).

You are expected to participate in special projects as requested by Electrolux management either as required by the business and/or as part of your career development plan.

EDUCATION

• You should have a degree in IT or Data Science, preferably with experience leading and managing a Power BI team in an MNC organization.

EXPERIENCE

• 3 to 5+ years in experience in developing Power BI, Power Automate, DAX, Power Query, and Power Apps.
• 3 to 5+ years in Power BI project management and stakeholder engagement.
• 3 to 5+ years in Data Modeling and Data Warehouse design and concepts.
• 5+ years in SQL.

Nice to have: Experience working with SAP BW/BI environment.
