Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative IT Assistant to join our team in Miri, Malaysia. As an IT Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our organization's technology infrastructure and providing excellent customer service to end-users. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic IT environment and contribute to the smooth operation of our systems.

  1. Provide first-level technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues.
  2. Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and peripherals.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Collaborate with the IT team to implement new technologies and improve existing systems.
  5. Maintain accurate records of IT assets and support tickets.
  6. Assist in the administration of user accounts and access permissions.
  7. Conduct basic network troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
  8. Provide training and guidance to users on IT systems and software applications.
  9. Participate in IT projects and initiatives as assigned.
  10. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  1. Diploma or equivalent in Information Technology or related field preferred.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support role.
  3. Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  5. Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems.
  6. Basic understanding of network administration and IT security principles.
  7. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  8. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  10. Ability to work flexibly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  12. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
