The company has three manufacturing sites and research and development offices in Penang, producing automotive electronics, power tools and steering systems, and now a fourth plant with a final testing center for sensors and semiconductors.

PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production to commence in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.

Job Overview

Setup of local SO-LCL-team as key pillar in enabling more efficient future growth for SO as well as increased independence from market for (SC) talents in Rt. Goal responsibility for these positions will be with ME/PRM1-SO.

• Generate templates and reports with data analysis tools (e.g. DAST/Spotfire/Tableau)
• Test data analysis using IT tools and statistical methods
• Generate KPI reports and track KPIs
• Perform test data analysis with IT tools and statistical methods to benchmark test sites or investigate performance of new manufacturing sites.
• Coordinate Bosch internal change management, generate and track engineering change requests for semiconductor products
• Set up of product master data for new products within our international production network
• Support go-live of our global product database
• Key user for data analysis and traceability tools (e.g. DAST/E2OPEN)
• Requalification of automotive ASICs
• Candidate is responsible for automotive IC's (integrated circuits) in our international production network
• Candidate is responsible to manage product data in series production and coordinate product issues at multiple manufacturing locations around the globe.
• The monitoring of quality and costs of the products is under the candidate's responsibility.
• Planning, controlling and supervising product data projects is also part of candidate's responsibility
• The candidate is required to coordinate manufacturing data of IC products in an international production network in cooperation with the development and manufacturing departments

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years to 5 years working experience in the semiconductor industry, preferable at least 3 years of related field of work process calculations and lean production

• At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering

• Possess strong communication skills (both verbal & written) and moderate meetings/workshops with all levels and departments

• Good IT skills, standard office software as well as programming language

• Candidates must be proactive with ability to work in a team and provide positive influence to improve

• Good listener with negotiation skills

• Able to perform manufacturing and economic analysis (facts and figures)

• Candidate must be an accurate person with detailed and results oriented

• Able to perform commercial discussion together with equipment supplier and engineering

• Able to instruct and deal in shopfloor with clear set of logical standards and systematically follow them

• Able to determine cost saving and quality improvement potential in his/her area with focus on company vision, mission, strategy and goals (SQCD)

• Open for business trip and able to travel to Germany for training
