IoT Engineer

We seek an IoT engineer to develop IoT solutions for agriculture. Candidates must understand IoT, data sensors, AI, and have interest or experience in agriculture. You will be collaborating with different teams within our company to develop new technologies to advance agriculture. Responsibilities

1. IoT System Development: Design and create smart farming IoT solutions for real-time monitoring and farm automation by integrating sensors, cloud-platform, Edge devices, IoT gateways, IoT platform and farm equipment.
2. Software: Develop interfaces integrating farm monitoring, data acquisition, data analysis and IoT platforms.
3. Connectivity: Implement reliable and secure connectivity solutions for seamless data transfer across the whole IoT system.
4. Collaborate with different teams: Work closely with agronomists, farm operations, and farm automation engineers.
5. Testing and troubleshooting: Conduct field tests, perform thorough troubleshooting of IoT devices and software to ensure full reliability and functionality.
6. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for hardware integration, data flow, and software development.
7. Artificial intelligence: Implement predictive capabilities using artificial intelligence to improve farm automation for maximum farm efficiency and highest yields.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical and Electronics, or Mechatronics, Agricultural Engineering or Computer Science-related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience as an IoT Engineer or Software Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with IoT protocols and platforms (e.g., LoRaWan, MQTT, AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub).
• Practical knowledge of cloud platforms, wireless transmission, and algorithm development.
• Comfortable experimenting with and using AI and other types of machine learning to synthesize data.
• Experience in embedded systems and microcontrollers will be an advantage.
• Interest in agriculture will be a big advantage.
• Good interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with different divisions of the company.
