This position will be part of our Malaysian equity team, which (i) provides equity research ideas in Malaysia and ASEAN to the wider APAC team, and (ii) manages Malaysian and ASEAN mandates.
Primary responsibilities
Equity research - Direct stock ownership (tentative sectors: energy, utilities, materials, consumer discretionary) in Malaysia and Philippines markets.
Fund management - Lead manager for a Shariah domestic portfolio, in cooperation with the rest of the team.
Fund management - As part of ASEAN funds pod, & lead for the same sectors for the pod.
Skills and Experience
A passion for investing
1-3 years of fund management track record that demonstrates solid risk control and superior risk/reward
Strong analytical capabilities, with a high idea hit rate track record that is not limited to spans both large caps and small/mid caps.
Excellent communication skills
Great team player.
