Analyze financial information to forecast business, industry, and/or economic conditions for use in making investment decisions.
Evaluate respective sectors and stocks for investment opportunities. Monitor financial news and interpret the implications to make informed investment decisions.
Support analytical work done by the portfolio manager and other team members with data describing current and long-term trends in investment risks and economic influences pertinent to investments.
Update investment recommendations; maintain records to substantiate buy-and-sell recommendations and record regular meeting minutes.
Maintain liaison and conduct regular meetings with the management of the companies under their coverage to discuss recent developments and issues arising from the financial results.
Assist fund managers to update interim and annual reports for unit trust funds.
Support/revise/coordinate client reporting, internal investment meetings, and internal information database.
Perform any other related duties that Management may require from time to time.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and/or professional qualification in a relevant discipline.
At least 5 years of equity research experience preferred.
Passionate about the markets and interested in the research process.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate a keen interest in macroeconomics.
Strong understanding of financial information, such as financial statements and sector data.
