Inventory Planning & Optimisation Manager
Job description
Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement inventory planning and optimization strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Analyze historical sales data and demand patterns to anticipate future inventory needs.
- Oversee the entire inventory lifecycle, from procurement to distribution, ensuring efficient and cost-effective inventory levels.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize stockouts, overstock, and obsolescence.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to gather information for accurate demand forecasting.
- Train and develop the inventory planning team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to execute strategies effectively.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain through data-driven insights.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, data statistics, business or related field.
- Proven experience in inventory planning and analysis (> 5 years experience)
- Data analysis and forecasting, able to analyze data to identify trends and patterns.
- Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop and implement strategies for improving inventory control procedures.
- Ability to analyze data and interpret trends to management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good in mathematics and sensible with data.
