Internship - Hardware / Software / PMO / PLM Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Hardware Design Engineer (EE)
    Supporting Daily Operations: Assisting with routine tasks such as file organization, data entry, and other administrative duties.
    Project Assistance: Providing support for projects, which may involve assisting with project planning, implementation, and monitoring.
    Communication and Coordination: Participating in team meetings, communicating with colleagues, assisting in problem-solving, and ensuring the flow of information.
    Reporting and Documentation: Writing reports, documents, or presentation slides to update the team on work progress.
    Team Participation: Engaging in team activities, such as training sessions, events, or social gatherings, to foster team building.
  2. Mechanical Design Engineer
    Support the day-to-day activities as a mechanical engineer.
    Work on assigned project(s) under mentor supervision.
    - Research mechanical design
    - Generate concepts and ideas
    - Participate in meetings and brainstorming sessions
    - Prepare report, share findings
    Technical tools: On-the-job / training exposure to mechanical tools and training materials.
  3. Signal Integrity / Power/ Test Engineer
    Develop and execute signal test plans for electronic systems.
    Collaborate with teams to understand signal integrity requirements.
    Perform signal integrity analysis and simulations.
    Conduct signal integrity measurements and analyze results.
    Identify and troubleshoot signal integrity issues.
  4. EMC Design / Derating Engineer
    Conduct electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests and evaluations.
    Collaborate with teams to understand EMC requirements and standards.
    Design and implement EMC test plans and procedures.
    Perform EMC testing using specialized equipment and instruments.
    Analyze and interpret test results to identify potential EMC issues.
    Analyze the stress on the individual components.
    Identify it is following the de-rating rule.
  5. Lab Management
    Develop a system that can report item purchase status.
    Develop the system to track lab inventory.
    Hands-on experience in the building of electronic devices and mechanical fixtures necessary for product testing.
    Be able to confer with engineers and others to generate rework instructions.
    Assist Lab Manager with lab space management.
  6. PCB Layout Engineer
    Design and develop PCB layouts for electronic systems.
    Collaborate with teams to understand design requirements and constraints.
    Create PCB layout designs using CAD Allegro software.
    Place and route components on the PCB to optimize functionality and manufacturability.
    Ensure proper clearance, signal integrity, and power distribution in the layout.
  7. Software Design Engineer / Software Verification Test
    Should be a Bachelor of Engineering Comp Science, graduating in 2024.
    Should have basic knowledge of Networking.
    Should be familiar with Operating System concepts, Python and/or C, C++.
  8. Product Line Management (PLM)
    Assist in the creation and monitoring of PR/PO on behalf of PLM.
    Onboard new vendors for PLM into the system.
    Act as the go-to person for purchasing for the PLM team including verification that invoices have been paid.
  9. Project Management Office (PMO)
    Refresh HPS PMO Continuous Improvement structure and process.
    Sort and prioritize AIs, questions, and ideas/gaps to resolve.
    Set up review & prioritization process.
    Report on completion.
    Update PMO training / HPS Learning Academy:
    - Create/Update KIN training content
    - Update the Learning Academy content
    - Link to Self Audit and Employee Central
    - Establish PMO Training calendar and publish 2024 PMO Calendar.

Requirements:
• Students who are currently enrolled in University and target to complete Bachelor's Degree/Masters/PhD.
• Majoring in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Measurement, and Control Technology and Instruments or other majors.
• Knowledge of Analog Electronics, engineering principles, Reading and understanding engineering drawings, and basic knowledge of manufacturing processes is a plus.
• Good working attitude and teamwork spirit.
• Good learning skills, ability to work effectively autonomously once trained.
• Excellent analytical, report-writing, and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
