Interior Designer (Intermediate Level & Junior Level)

Job Responsibilities:

• Report to the Design Manager / Creative Director on design matters.
• Take project brief from Design Manager / Creative Director depending on project size & requirements.
• Internal brainstorming with Project Team for design direction and conceptualization.
• Take charge of the assigned project from conception to completion under the supervision of Design Manager / Creative Director.
• Ensure the proposal worked out is within the given budget. Conduct internal discussion with QS prior to finalization of design.
• Assist the Design Manager / Creative Director in design development.
• Limited client liaison including correspondence, minutes of meeting, etc.
• Carry out design documentation, specifications and detailing.
• Double check drawings done prior to submission to other departments.
• Check material lead time.
• Check through the Bill of Quantities by tallying with design drawings.
• Attendance on site to ensure quality assurance of built works against documentation.
• Research on finishes and materials for project proposal considerations.
• Prepare design presentations and compile material & sample boards.
• Create, file and maintain material library (samples, brochures, catalogues, etc.)
• Create and maintain on-line visual image library for reference.
• Support Studio Manager / Senior Designers whenever required.
• Good all-round knowledge of design, detailing, technical, and procedure.

Requirements:

• MUST be a Diploma/ Degree Holder in Interior Design.
• MUST have at least 3 years of experience in Commercial / Office Design.
• Strong in concept development for commercial space.
• Ability to market designs to client.
• Responsible for all design related aspects - conceptualize design, space planning, detail design, assist in managing all aspects of design development & site implementation.
• Responsible for translating the design concept into design details.
• Knowledge in AutoCad, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, PowerPoint, 3D Studio Viz / Max will be an added advantage.
• Must be fluent in English and other local dialects would be an added advantage.
• Excellent time management skills and able to meet deadlines.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Applicants must be Malaysian citizens.
