  • You have 5-7 years of work experience in interior design in a retail environment.
  • You have managerial experience of leading co-workers.
  • You have experience of using relevant software (e.g. AutoCad, SketchUp, Revit).
  • You have an interior design-based education.
  • You are proven success in leading creative processes and creating a trustful environment.
  • You have visual competence with a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • You have a passion for home furnishing, design, and how people live at home.
  • You have proven customer-focused mindset.
  • You demonstrate clear communication skills.
  • You have ability to prioritise and organise work and the work of others.
  • You have good communication skills in English.
  • You have problem-solving skills.
  • You are computer proficient with knowledge.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

  • Lead and manage a team of Interior Design co-workers and inspire them to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity.
  • Be responsible for gathering and translating insights from home visit interviews into relevant home furnishing solutions.
  • Lead a team in creating the store Showroom matrix that reflects a variety of styles and price levels.
  • Secure that interior designers execute solutions with high quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain deep knowledge about home furnishing, retailing, and trends.
  • Actively support in the development of the department action plan with interior design initiatives.
  • Be responsible for the recruitment and competence development of Interior Design co-workers.
  • Act quickly to exploit commercial opportunities.
  • Ensure the team always keeps visitors in mind.
  • Actively contribute in the national Interior Design Managers network.
