Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Interior Advisor to join our team at our retail outlet in Kuching, Sarawak. As Interior Advisor, you will be responsible for providing improvement plans for store displays, assisting customers with interior advice, performing POS and cashiering transactions accurately, and promoting teamwork. Your contribution to achieving sales targets through active participation in promotional events and campaigns is essential.

Skills:

• Knowledge of retail operations and procedures
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions

Responsibilities:

1. Provide suggestive and constructive improvement plans for the Household display in store
2. Provide suggestive and constructive ideas for increasing revenue
3. Provide improvement plans for better presentation to customers at the store
4. Achieve sales targets as per store allocation
5. Plan with VMD in setting up fabrics, furniture, and houseware displays
6. Design selling tools for the household department
7. Organize customer events related to IA program
8. Assist customers with inquiries on the sales floor, giving interior advice regarding layout design, furniture selection, and storage
9. Ensure and maintain visual merchandise standards
10. Ensure the progress of qualifying standards in customer service, healthy working environment, and safety
11. Assist in receiving Household stocks and assembly of furniture when required
12. Promote after-sales service, follow-up calls, and emails
13. Anticipate customer needs, handle inquiries, and solve problems
14. Coordinate training in selling skills and product knowledge
15. Demonstrate positive manners to foster good rapport and promote team spirit
16. Prepare weekly sales reports and monthly action plans
17. Any other duties assigned by the Senior Store Manager/Operations Manager

Job Requirements

• Malaysian Sarawakian
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply!
• Demonstrated experience in interior design consulting and managing projects
• Proficient in design software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
• Comprehensive knowledge of design principles, color theory, and spatial arrangements
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Team player with a collaborative work approach
• Willing to work shifts on weekends; duty roster will be arranged by Store Manager
• Meticulous attention to detail and organizational aptitude
• Familiarity with industry trends, materials, and furnishings
• Flexible in adapting to various design styles and client preferences
