Job Summary

As a Standard Chartered Insurance Specialist, you’ll be responsible for offering comprehensive bancassurance advice tailored to client needs supporting the Affluent Distribution, Business Banking, and Personal Banking in driving insurance sales. You'll provide exceptional customer service with the provision of financial solutions while managing operational risk and regulatory requirements.

Wealth and Retail Banking (WRB) serves more than 11 million clients in many of the world’s fastest-growing markets. Our client continuum spans from Mass Retail to Affluent, including high-net worth clients served by our Private Bank. We leverage digital banking channels with a human touch to provide clients with differentiated products and services such as deposits, payments, financing, wealth management and personalised advice. We also support small business clients with their business banking needs.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Selling a variety of Bancassurance life insurance products to existing and potential bank customers.
  2. Offering personalized financial advice based on customer needs.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders and Insurance Service Providers (ISP) to ensure seamless execution of sales and services activities.
  4. Planning and executing bancassurance sales activities.
  5. Developing a strong understanding of bancassurance products.
  6. Achieve assigned sales targets and other key metrics as outlined in the scorecard.
  7. Assist in handling client inquiries and resolving issues related to insurance products.
  8. Adhere to Wealth Solution policies and procedures governing insurance transactions.
  9. Ensure complete and accurate documentation for all sales transactions in compliance with internal guideline and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

  1. Degree or Diploma in any discipline.
  2. Minimum banking sales experience of 2 years with a proven track record of results.
  3. Knowledge and sales experience in Life Insurance are essential. Experience in other wealth products is an added advantage.
  4. Possess PCE/ CEILLI/ TBE/ FIMM licenses before officially starting the role.
  5. Strong sales drive.
  6. Great interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate to all parties.
  7. Collaborative team player with a strong performance orientation and willingness to travel.
