#OGJS RESPONSIBILITIES

As Instrumentation and Controls Manager, you are responsible for maintaining and developing the team skill sets within the Discipline. You are responsible for allocating resources to ensure that Instrumentation and Controls Engineering project tasks are completed per budget, schedule, quality, and safety requirements. You take ownership of the overall quality and performance of the work performed by the Instrumentation and Controls discipline. You also take ownership of all engineering and design activities within the Discipline.

In your role, you must manage uncertainty and provide guidance to the team in order that designs are properly executed and risk is managed to prevent negative impact to the overall project.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation/Controls & Instrumentation/Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university
  2. Minimum 15 years of experience in Instrumentation or ICSS engineering and design in oil & gas industry (fixed platforms and floating facilities such as FPSO), including in the capacity as Lead Engineer in two EPCIC projects
  3. Experience shall also preferably encompass Conceptual, Basic and Detailed Engineering phases
  4. Excellent leadership skills, able to lead a team of more than 25 people
  5. A motivator and people development oriented
  6. Excellent knowledge in Instrumentation engineering (field instruments and control & shutdown systems)
  7. Familiar with industry codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO, IEC, etc.) and classification society rules and regulations
  8. Understanding of the scope and requirement of FPSO project in relation to Instrumentation, ICSS and Telecommunications
  9. Passionate with continuous improvement and development of work processes
  10. Autonomous, English speaker, quick learner
