We are currently seeking an Instrument Engineer to join our team based in Kuala Lumpur.

Successful candidates would be offered a fixed term employment.

About the mission we offer you:

1. Assist the Lead/Senior Instrument Engineer in ensuring good quality design outputs, as per the relevant procedures.
2. Produce the agreed deliverables as per the project requirement and schedules in a cost-effective manner.
3. Perform thorough study and information gathering for all the relevant systems defined in the design and ensure adequate information is incorporated in the design deliverables.
4. Monitor and ensure that any drawings designed by designers and generated by the drafters properly reflect all required design details and good engineering practices.
5. Retain all records of design deliverables sketches, drafts, reviews, revisions for audit and traceability purposes.
6. Perform required in-house Instrument sizing and selection as well as manage studies performed by 3rd party subcontractors/vendors.
7. Assist on-site and involve in site works with the Construction Team and manage System Vendor/Integrator and field instrument vendors' work execution during the EPC project.

Main Accountabilities:

1. Prepares, updates, and checks specifications and calculations for detailed engineering.
2. Ensures contractual technical specifications are met by the Vendors.
3. Adheres to the committed man/hours and budget.
4. Ensures timely internal and external reporting on engineering activities and progress to the Lead.
5. Meets quality objectives of the project.
6. Remains accountable and assumes responsibility for all works and activities done.
7. Continuously develops and grows technical know-how as well as familiarizes with Design Codes and Standards.
8. Carries out onshore and offshore site visits as required.
9. Prepares site survey checklists and reports and other reports as required.
10. Interfaces with other disciplines and project support functions such as procurement and planning.

About you:

1. Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation/Electronic Engineering accredited by the Board of Engineers Malaysia or approved equivalent.
2. Registered with the Board of Engineers (BEM) or equivalent.
3. Possess at least a minimum of 5 years working experience in Instrumentation and Control engineering design, with 2 years in the Oil and Gas industry.
4. Knowledge of offshore platform and onshore Instrumentation and Control systems.
5. Good interpersonal skills, good team player, and willing to learn and grow with the organization.
6. Good communication skills, both oral and written.
7. Possess analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and initiative.
8. Able to work efficiently and effectively while managing multiple tasks.

Nice to have:

1. Preferably registered Professional Engineer (PE) with the local board or approved equivalent.
2. Experience in tender bid documents preparation, clarifications, and tender bid evaluation report preparation.
3. 2 years or more working experience with OEM/System Vendors/Field Instrument vendors.
4. Good awareness of HSE and HFE.
