Inspector of Works (Mechanical / Electrical)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site supervision and coordination to ensure that contractors adhere to quality standards and project specifications.
- Attend all site meetings and technical discussions.
- Ensure that materials used meet contract specifications.
- Assist in site valuations by verifying contractors' work for progress claims.
- Conduct regular checks, inspections, and quality control measures on ongoing and completed works.
- Identify outstanding tasks and address any issues encountered on-site, proposing mitigation solutions as necessary.
- Report any non-conforming matters found during inspections to the Resident Engineer (RE) and follow up with contractors on required actions.
- Maintain accurate records of daily work activities, including relevant forms, documents, and correspondences.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an Inspector of Works (IOW) for projects such as schools, residential buildings, commercial complexes, etc.
- Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Possession of the IOW certificate from the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is mandatory.
