Injection Mouding Technician

The Injection Moulding Technician is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of injection moulding machines to ensure the production of high-quality plastic components. The technician plays a key role in maintaining production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and minimizing downtime through effective troubleshooting and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Set up and operate injection moulding machines according to production specifications.
2. Perform routine mould changes, machine adjustments, and start-up procedures.
3. Monitor machine performance and product quality during production runs.
4. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to moulding defects (e.g., flashing, short shots, warping).
5. Ensure all machines and equipment are operating within established parameters.
6. Maintain documentation for production logs, mould changeovers, and machine settings.
7. Work closely with the quality control team to inspect parts and ensure adherence to quality standards.
8. Support preventive maintenance and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs.
9. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
10. Assist in training new technicians and operators as needed.

Requirements:

1. Minimum SPM or technical diploma in mechanical/manufacturing/related field.
2. At least 3 years of working experience in injection moulding operations.
3. Solid knowledge of various plastic materials and moulding processes.
4. Familiarity with injection moulding machines such as Toshiba, Lanson, Nissei, etc.
5. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and use measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
6. Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality.
7. Physically fit and able to work in a factory environment.
8. Willingness to work shifts or overtime when required.

Preferred Skills (Bonus):

1. Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and documentation practices.
2. Basic knowledge of mould maintenance and repair.
