About the Department

The Infra and Platform Services Domain Lead is responsible for guiding the strategic direction of the infrastructure and operations domain within the organization. This role involves leading design and implementation efforts, ensuring system integrity and performance, and driving innovation within the infrastructure landscape as well as maintenance of the infrastructure. The domain lead will also lead L1 and L2 support across various banking domains, batch operations, managing service automation and testing tasks. The Domain Lead collaborates with various stakeholders to align infrastructure capabilities with the business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Lead, mentor, and support a team of IT support staff and infrastructure professionals.
  2. Assign tasks, monitor team performance and provide feedback, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  3. Manage team’s career growth and enhance team skills and knowledge.
  4. Ensure prompt resolution of technical issues and escalations.
  5. Monitor support tickets, service levels, and response times.
  6. Implement best practices to improve customer experience.
  7. Analyze support metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  8. Develop and optimize workflows to enhance efficiency.
  9. Prepare reports.
  10. Work closely with tech team to address recurring production issues.
  11. Communicate effectively and respond to escalations promptly.
  12. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for infrastructure hardware and software.
  13. Provide advice and support to the team for complex technical issues.
  14. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, leading the overall strategy and vision for the organization’s key domains.
  15. Have knowledge of basic DevOps tools, test management, and batch monitoring tools.
  16. Infra knowledge of either Linux/Unix, Windows, database management systems, middleware or IAC are preferred.
  17. Banking domain knowledge like core banking, cards, global markets, data and finance risks are an added advantage.
  18. Familiarity with banking domain applications such as AS400, mainframe, MUREX, SAP GL, Informatica, RPA Blueprism is also an advantage.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. More than 9 years of significant experience in IT infrastructure management and system operations, with a focus on systems architecture and design.
  3. Proven experience leading and managing high-performing technical teams.
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical challenges.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  6. Strong team player; able to motivate the team to respond to multiple demands and manage changing priorities.
  7. Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks, such as ITIL.
  8. Effective time management skills to manage multiple priorities with flexibility on time zones and timelines.
  9. Logical thinking, high analytical and problem-solving skills; innovative and solutions-oriented.
  10. An engaging, open, genuine personality that naturally encourages interaction with individuals at all levels.
