Job description

The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience tackling various hardware and software problems. They should be comfortable providing technology solutions to employees and working closely with third party software companies to adopt new technologies and efficiently use existing ones. This candidate should have prior experience working with information technology and understand the latest technology trends to ensure the technology in place is up to date.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead the IT Department, overseeing the development of annual business plans, managing financial and manpower budgets, and ensuring the achievement of performance targets across all IT functions.
  2. Ensure the day-to-day operations of Management Information Systems (MIS) and helpdesk services are conducted efficiently, providing reliable support to all users.
  3. Manage the organization’s ERP systems, including issue resolution, reporting, and strategic planning for system upgrades, vendor selection, and implementation of enhancements.
  4. Oversee network infrastructure management, ensuring the availability, security, and scalability of LAN/WAN systems, database services, and application support.
  5. Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies to safeguard the organization's digital assets, including proactive monitoring, threat detection, and incident response.
  6. Lead the digital transformation efforts across the organization, guiding departments in adopting and integrating new technologies to align with business objectives and improve operational efficiency.
  7. Ensure the continuous improvement and upgrading of IT infrastructure, software, and processes to meet evolving business needs and regulatory requirements.
  8. Manage relationships with stakeholders and external partners, driving engagement and intervening when necessary to address gaps or issues in IT service delivery.
  9. Provide technical support to end users, addressing hardware, software, networking, and ERP system issues promptly and effectively.
  10. Implement disaster recovery plans and ensure business continuity through robust IT infrastructure and support services.
  11. Carry out additional duties and tasks as directed by Management.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and capacity within a large, complex, and dynamic corporate environment.
  3. Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure, network administration, ERP systems, and cybersecurity.
  4. A successful track record in leading IT and digital transformation projects.
  5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to set strategic direction, communicate objectives, and alignment with department heads and executive leadership.
  6. Expertise in managing external vendors, implementation partners, and contracts, with a focus on cost reduction, process standardization and simplification.
  7. Demonstrated ability to manage change, particularly in the context of technology adoption and digital transformation.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  10. Must be willing to work in Pulau Indah, Klang.
