Information Security & Cloud Engineer

Location: Butterworth & Penang Island (Need to be based at 2 locations)

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate with team members, management, IT, and application teams to investigate, analyze, document, and resolve security incidents, including malware outbreaks, intrusions, and system vulnerabilities.
2. Conduct skills gap analysis to identify training needs, and promote, create, and deliver training programs to equip employees and end-users with essential information security skills.
3. Organize and conduct periodic information security audits, as well as security orientation, training, and awareness programs.
4. Support the planning and implementation of security improvements, manage antivirus servers, and support Windows Active Directory environments.
5. Investigate and report on virus infections, ensuring systems are secure and compliant with company standards.
6. Stay current with the latest information security intelligence, emerging threats, technologies, and best practices.
7. Document the design, operation, and troubleshooting of technology platforms, infrastructure, and procedures.
8. Design, implement, and manage cloud network infrastructure across AWS and Azure platforms, including virtual networks, subnets, and security groups, while ensuring secure on-premise network connectivity.
9. Perform daily server maintenance, including performance monitoring of servers and storage, backup plan management, and proposing/managing cloud and network-related projects.
10. Conduct troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution of system, network, and security issues.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.
2. With 2 - 5 years working experience in related fields.
3. Candidates with experience and leadership qualities will be considered for more senior position.
4. Knowledge in LAN/WAN/Wireless environments, IT Security, or Internet technology, with experience in Windows OS, Azure Cloud Infrastructures, AWS, Active Directory, security policies setup, backup & recovery, or network equipment such as routers, firewalls, switches, and M365.
5. Self-motivated, multi-tasking and willing to take challenges.
6. Strict adherence to policies, procedures and security practices.
7. Good organization, analytical and troubleshooting skill.
