Contacting existing customers and gaining inquiries for both exports and imports.
Dealing with overseas agents for all inquiries via email.
Obtaining the best shipping rates and quoting customers and overseas agents for sea freight, air freight, customs forwarding, warehousing, and door delivery.
Gathering competitor and customer information through indoor sales activities to create awareness of local market trends and competitor activities.
Sharing information within the sales team to improve and identify the most appropriate service against the competition.
Following up on all quotes to gain business and negotiating freight rates to increase revenue.
Negotiating costs to obtain bookings while maximizing profitability and gaining business.
Offering outstanding customer service and prompt responses to relevant customer inquiries.
Registering any customer complaints and reporting to the superior and management for immediate corrective action.
Performing any ad-hoc duties as assigned or required from time to time.
Requirements
Possess at least Higher Secondary/STPM or Diploma in a related field.
Minimum 1 year of working experience in customer service/documentation/operations in a forwarding/shipping environment.
Multitasking with strong communication and time management skills.
Computer literate.
Able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Immediate availability is an added advantage.
Language: Chinese, Malay, English (Mandarin is an added advantage).
