Indirect Category Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing sourcing strategies for indirect goods and services
• Conducting market research and benchmarking to identify potential suppliers and cost-saving opportunities
• Developing Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Quotations (RFQs)
• Conducting cost analysis and setting benchmarks for improvement
• Negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with terms and conditions
• Facilitating and leading sourcing projects
• Monitoring supplier performance and addressing any issues
• Identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
• Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with procurement
• Working with internal stakeholders to ensure that all procurement activities are conducted ethically and legally
• Ensuring that all purchases are within budget and comply with company policies
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline procurement activities
• Using technology to automate procurement processes and improve efficiency

Your Expertise - Our Strength

• Degree in any discipline
• MBA, an added advantage
• Minimum 5 years working experience in indirect procurement
• Strong organizational and analytical skills to make data-driven decisions
• Knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX, SAP, etc.)
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to travel when required
• Strong communication skills, preferably fluent in spoken and written English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Strategic thinking ability
• High integrity
