IFRS17 & Modelling, Assistant Manager

Job Summary

Delivers routine actuarial tasks and recommendations requiring minimal direct supervision, and performs more complex actuarial analyses under the supervision of more senior actuaries, in relation to reserving, reporting, quantitative risk management or the pricing of business.

Job Functions

1. Responsible to support the design and setup of Takaful columnar fund reporting in Group Actuarial Central Engine (ACE).
2. Troubleshoot issues and propose solutions to tackle the ACE system limitations.
3. Enhance Prophet and DCS to suit the requirements for columnar reporting in ACE.
4. Work closely with the FAR team to get the right data input required for fund reporting in ACE and clarify the requirements of fund reporting.
5. Provide support on the calculation for Takaful in ACE.
6. Review the results generated from ACE for reporting to ensure it fulfills the reporting requirements and aligns with BNM/industry/MTA expectations.
7. Design and propose a new SOP for the new process of preparing fund reporting.
8. Document the methodology and limitations or workarounds that apply in ACE.

Job Qualifications

Required:

1. Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related field.
2. 5 or more years of experience in IFRS 17 and Takaful reporting.
