What you will do

1. Participate from sub-blocks up through chip top-level floor planning and full chip routing from scratch.
2. Perform layout verification (such as LVS, DRC & others) and troubleshooting the results.
3. Very good hands-on experience in the IC layout device matching techniques, high speed shielding, ESD and I/O placement and validation.
4. Able to work with Architect, design lead, designers, and layout engineers to achieve full chip integration, place and route, top-level verification, and tape out.
5. Responsible for layout optimization, post layout extraction and parasitic analysis and supervise the layout team on projects focusing on Analog and Mixed-Signal circuits.
6. Specific technical expertise is desired in a broad range of process technologies from Bipolar, CMOS and DMOS (BCD) including FinFETs, and complex, high-performance analog circuits and logic layout.
7. Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand design requirements and constraints to deliver best-in-class products.
8. Proactively look for continuous improvement opportunities in the complete layout flow methodologies and develop accurate mask layout design schedules and resource estimates.

What you will need

1. PhD/Master/Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Micro Electronics/Physics with excellent technical background in Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design environment.
2. Junior Engineer - 2 to 4 years of experience.
3. Senior Engineer – 5 to 7 years of experience.
4. Hands-on experience in analog layout from scratch for various design blocks: Analog Switch, Bandgap, Current mirrors, Power Management blocks, Charge-pump, PLL, ADC, DAC, LDO, and ESD requirements.
5. Possess strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills in physical layout development work.
6. Experience in Cadence layout (Virtuoso, VXL), Synopsis tools, and Calibre verification (ERC, DRS, LVS) preferred.
7. Experience on Bipolar, CMOS and DMOS (BCD) process technologies preferred.
8. Comprehensive understanding of the target process to balance layout and design needs, e.g. crosstalk, RC delay, electro-migration, IR drop, self-heating, shielding, matching, guard rings, and latch-up.
9. A team player with good communication skills and strong organizational skills as well as the ability to work independently.
10. Proficiency in PERL, TCL, or PYTHON scripting is a plus.
