Job Description
To identify key areas of risk in various food operations for early remedial actions.
To be responsible for ensuring all Islam Syari’a law, Halal Standard requirements & Halal Malaysia Certificate by JAKIM are followed.
To assure Halal Assurance system is implemented and followed effectively.
To cooperate with JAKIM and HALAL enforcement related to HALAL documents and procedures.
To ensure and assure all items and ingredients comply with JAKIM Halal requirements. To work and liaise with the Procurement Department on supplier, invoice, and sourcing of items for operation/production.
To advise, develop, and assure all Halal Committee effectively functions in the operations.
To provide training and coaching to the Halal Committee to build awareness among team members to assure Halal Integrity processes are firm.
To plan, coordinate, and conduct Internal Halal Audits.
To assure all Halal requirement standards by JAKIM are followed in all processes and terms.
To ensure compliance with regulations, licensing conditions, and codes of practice relating to food businesses.
To monitor the health condition of food handlers and to arrange medical examinations or suspension of work where necessary.
To handle complaints or inquiries from customers/guests on food hygiene matters.
To ensure all aspects of the hygiene service are carried out and maintained to the required standard.
To oversee the day-to-day running of the team facilities including vending services and maintenance.
Qualifications
College/Bachelor education
Minimum 2 years of hygiene experience
Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English
Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
