Job Responsibilities

As an HVAC Project Manager, you will:

• Project Initiation: Develop temporary facility plans, workforce allocation strategies, and work environment setups.
• Quality Oversight: Review construction drawings, ensure compliance with guidelines, specifications, and authorizations, and perform final quality checks.
• Schedule Management: Monitor construction progress, adjust schedules as needed, and ensure timely project completion.
• Site Leadership: Act as the contractor’s representative, taking full accountability for site operations and management.
• Issue Resolution: Provide clear instructions during challenges, report promptly to senior management, and ensure effective execution.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise and negotiate with clients, main contractors, site officers (SO), designers, architects, and engineers for smooth project delivery.
• Client Communication: Conduct regular client meetings to understand needs, respond to requests, and address complaints with reports and improvement plans.
• Post-Project Follow-Up: Perform follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction and foster relationships for future opportunities.
• Safety Prioritization: Establish a safe work environment compliant with occupational health and safety standards, develop safety policies, conduct briefings, and implement accident prevention measures.
• Subcontractor & Cost Management: Select and manage subcontractors within budget, optimize efficiency, improve quality, and shorten timelines while maintaining cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of hands-on experience in HVAC construction management and maintenance.
• Proven track record in site management, including leading and supervising construction projects.
• Extensive experience in project budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
• Ability to fully manage site operations, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and cost control.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide accurate instructions and report to senior management promptly.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills for working with diverse stakeholders.
• A business-oriented mindset and the ability to represent the company effectively on-site.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Malaysian Standards (MS) and other industry-related regulations.
• Experience in HVAC system design and planning.
• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., T-fas, AutoCAD, BIM).
