About the Role (12-months Fixed-Term Contract)

Monks is hiring for a Human Resources Generalist.

In this role you’ll handle a wide range of HR activities, including onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, payroll, and compliance. You will provide day-to-day support to employees and managers, ensuring smooth HR operations and processes. You'll be working across multiple HR functions and have a hands-on role in implementing HR strategies. You will collaborate with our HRBPs in employee engagement, performance management, strategic HR initiatives, and day-to-day operations aspects for our AUNZ office.

Responsibilities:

  • Employee Life Cycle: Supporting onboarding, offboarding, and everything in between to ensure a smooth and engaging experience with Monks.
  • Talent Management: Support the HRBP on talent management, performance management including growth conversations, and training and development.
  • DEI and Culture: Support engagement, onboarding, exit survey reporting and planning, and planning and executing DEI events in our offices.
  • Employee Relations: Support HRBP in handling employee issues, concerns, and conflict resolution.
  • Compliance & Legal Requirements: Stay up-to-date with local labour laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance across all HR practices.
  • Training & Development: Coordinate training programs and workshops. Assist in organizing, scheduling, drafting communications, and surveying attendees.
  • Policy & Documentation: Assist in drafting, revising, and distributing HR policies, procedures, and other related documents.
  • Mobility: Assist in the international mobility and visa process.
  • Payroll & Benefits: Collaborate with the finance team to process payroll and resolve any payroll-related inquiries from employees.
  • HR Projects: Participate in various global, regional, and local HR initiatives.

About You

The essentials:

  • Minimum of 4 years of working experience in human resources, with a good understanding of HR policies and practices in AUNZ.
  • Advanced English level.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, and ability to troubleshoot and connect our employees with appropriate HR resources in a global environment.
  • Proficient in HRIS - WorkDay (is a must), Google Suite, and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Not a must, but a plus:

  • Experience in HR policies in other APAC regions.
  • Experience in FreshService and Monday.com preferred.
  • Completion of a college program in HR, business administration, or other qualifying certifications (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is nice to have.
