Sports Direct Malaysia is currently looking for a Human Resources Executive to join our growing team. Malaysia marks the first direct retail investment in Asia through a joint venture partnership with Malaysian owned MST Golf Group of companies, a well-established golf retailer and service provider in the region. Sports Direct Malaysia currently operates a total of 34 retail stores domestically and manages a proprietary SportsDirect.com e-commerce site for domestic and regional fulfillment. Your responsibilities as the Human Resources Executive will include but are not limited to:
Facilitate and manage staff movement processes, ensuring smooth transitions and effective communication between all parties involved.
Coordinate and work closely with stakeholders and external parties to manage internship placement and other related programs associated with the higher education institution(s).
Assist in handling employees’ corrective matters, documentation in a fair, timely, and confidential manner in compliance with company policies.
Manage the transition process, including exit interviews, offboarding formalities, and knowledge transfer.
Support in HR-related data entry into HR systems, maintain accurate employee records, produce relevant HR reports, and support compliance with HR policies and procedures.
Assist and contribute to employee services such as responding to inquiries, providing employment certification letters, etc.
Collaborate and work closely with stakeholders and relevant parties to ensure all statutory compliances, Employment Act 1955 compliance, etc.
Support other HR roles and functions as required, such as preparing payroll documentation and engagement activities.
Any other assignments as directed by immediate superior as and when required.
Candidate must have the following requirements:
Tertiary education in HR Management or equivalent.
A minimum of 2 years working experience as HR Generalist in the retail industry is a plus.
Strong in both verbal & non-verbal communication skills.
Good business writing skills.
Proficient in all Microsoft applications.
Good time management skills and deadline sensitivity.
A team player with proven leadership skills, positive, service-oriented.
