About the role

Join the talented HR team at Lai Pau Construction Sdn Bhd as a full-time Human Resources Executive. In this pivotal role, you will play a vital part in supporting the company's strategic HR initiatives and contributing to the overall growth and success of the organisation. Your work will be based in Melaka Tengah, Melaka.

What you'll be doing

1. Facilitate and manage the full employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and termination processes.
2. Provide HR advisory services to managers and employees on a wide range of HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.
3. Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement HR strategies, programs, and initiatives that align with the company's objectives.
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
5. Assist in the design and delivery of HR-related training and development programs.
6. Participate in employee engagement activities and support the company's efforts to foster a positive and inclusive work culture.

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 1 year(s) of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in the construction industry.
2. Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and HR best practices.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HR information systems.
5. A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
6. A bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
