About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Specialist to join our dynamic team at SJ Circle Sdn Bhd in Kulim, Kedah. This full-time role is a crucial part of our HR Consulting and Generalist function, supporting our growing operations and contributing to the overall success of the company. As an HR Specialist, you will play a key part in delivering strategic HR services and driving positive employee experiences.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage the overall HR functions such as Recruitment, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Welfare Administration, Employee Relations, Monthly Payroll Administration, Performance Appraisal, Training.
  2. Conduct day-to-day Human Resources work as well as the improvement of Human Resources policies and procedures.
  3. Able to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
  4. Handle staff discipline issues, grievances and counseling, domestic inquiries, and other activities when required.
  5. Responsible for the timely processing of payroll and submission of related reports to relevant government authorities such as EPF, SOCSO, LHDN, HRDF, etc.
  6. Leaves and time attendance administration.
  7. Managing employee database and staff movement including preparation of all HR letters.
  8. Preparing incoming and outgoing correspondence, internal memos, etc.
  9. In charge of security guard issues and cleaning staff.
  10. Coordinate with external vendors regarding office area maintenance.
  11. Coordinate with IT vendors for checking on PC and other IT-related spare parts.
  12. Perform any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within a consulting or professional services environment.
  2. Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations relevant to the industry.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  4. Proficient in HR information systems and data analysis, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  5. Proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
