The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Assists learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Handles routine HR inquiries, managing to completion.
Advocates and drives for the resolution of employee issues and concerns including internal investigations, corrective actions, and coaching.
Builds credible relationships with front, mid, and senior-level leaders through trust, collaboration, and effective communication.
Applies sound judgment to identify issues and prescribe HR solutions in ambiguous situations with confidence.
Collaborates with the HR HQ to provide high-impact HR solutions.
Participates and assists with location events.
Assists with departmental HR projects and initiatives as needed.
Maintains concise documentation for procedures, work processes, and reports.
Liaises with relevant authorities for business license renewal/application, foreign worker management such as application for foreign worker quota.
Oversees and manages general welfare issues related to disciplinary, hostel/dormitory, transport, security & cleaning services, sport & recreation activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or above, major in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred.
5-8 years work experience in HR related functions, with 2 years in a management role; experience in a manufacturing environment is a must, automotive industry preferred.
Highly analytical with the ability to multitask and strong organizational and leadership skills.
Good verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
Problem-solving and negotiation skills, and able to work under pressure.
