Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on HR Executive to manage all aspects of human resources in Malaysia. This role involves handling HR operations, administration, compliance, and employee engagement while working closely with the HR admin team. You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth HR processes and fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. HR Operations & Administration
    • Oversee and manage the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, employee relations, and HR compliance.
    • Work closely with the HR admin team to ensure timely processing of HR documentation, employee records, and benefits administration.
    • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases to ensure data integrity and compliance with company policies.
  2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
    • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and offer management.
    • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop talent acquisition strategies.
    • Manage new hire onboarding to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
  3. Employee Relations & Engagement
    • Act as a key HR contact for employees, addressing concerns and providing guidance on HR policies and workplace issues.
    • Support and drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive work culture.
    • Assist in organizing employee activities, training sessions, and team-building events.
  4. Compensation & Benefits Administration
    • Liaise with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance with statutory requirements.
    • Administer employee benefits programs, including medical insurance, leave policies, and other entitlements.
    • Stay updated on labor laws and statutory regulations to ensure HR policies remain compliant.
  5. Performance Management & Training
    • Support the performance review process by coordinating evaluations and ensuring timely feedback mechanisms.
    • Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating employee development programs.
  6. Compliance & HR Policies
    • Ensure HR policies and practices comply with Malaysian labor laws and company standards.
    • Prepare HR reports and audits as required by local authorities or regional HR teams.
    • Stay updated with employment law changes and advise management on necessary updates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in an MNC or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Hands-on experience in HR administration, payroll coordination, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
