We are looking for a qualified HR Assistant Manager / Manager to oversee all functions of our human resources department and ensure they’re aligned with our business goals.
Our ideal candidates should have a minimum of 7 years of solid managerial experience with HR practices and employee management. You will communicate with the company management team to express new ideas and suggest solutions. To be successful in this role, you must have an HR academic qualification along with relevant work experience in a mid to senior-level position.
Ultimately, you should be able to act as a consultant on human resources management and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Leading HR teams.
- Manage the full spectrum of HR functions which includes manpower planning, recruitment and selection, training and development, payroll processing, compensation and benefits, performance evaluation, and employee relations.
- Solely responsible for the day-to-day administration of the HR department including timesheet attendance, annual leave, sick leave record, employee movement, etc.
- To suggest, develop, and review HR policies and procedures.
- To analyze and recommend new HR trends to the management team.
- To lead the employee performance management plan, identify high-performing employees, and develop a strategic succession planning and retention program.
- To ensure compliance with local regulations and governance.
- Oversee and handle foreign worker affairs and well-being.
- To work with the Plant Manager on the training needs of the direct labor, ensuring execution and follow-up on post-training effectiveness.
- Evaluate induction and training programs.
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, cultivate a healthy work culture, increase productivity, and retention.
- To plan, organize, and execute all employee welfare activities.
- Resolve complex employee relations issues and address grievances.
- Responsible for the health and safety of the workforce, ensuring a safe working environment and targeting zero lost time injury through training and safe practices.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years HR management working experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient and knowledgeable in labor law, employment act, and other government rules and regulations related to HR.
- Good working knowledge of current HR trends and practices.
- Must be mature, people-oriented, results-driven, and able to communicate with all levels of employees.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Priority given to Sarawakians.
