Job description

The HR Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes within the organization. This role involves developing HR strategies, ensuring legal compliance, managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and fostering a positive workplace culture. You will be responsible for overseeing the HR functions across multiple companies under our group, ensuring consistent HR practices and alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Leadership & Multi-Company Oversight:

  • Oversee HR operations across several companies within the group, ensuring standardized HR policies and practices.
  • Collaborate with management teams across each entity to support strategic business objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to HR teams or personnel in each company.

Recruitment & Staffing:

  • Manage the recruitment and selection process to ensure timely hiring of skilled talent.
  • Develop job descriptions, post advertisements, and conduct interviews.
  • Collaborate with department heads to forecast staffing needs across all companies.

Employee Relations & Engagement:

  • Foster a positive work environment that supports employee engagement and high performance.
  • Address employee grievances and mediate workplace conflicts.
  • Organize team-building activities and employee engagement programs.

Performance Management:

  • Implement performance appraisal systems to evaluate employee performance.
  • Guide managers on setting performance goals and providing constructive feedback.
  • Develop employee development and succession planning strategies.

Training & Development:

  • Identify training needs and organize training programs to enhance employee skills.
  • Ensure continuous learning opportunities and career development pathways.
  • Manage payroll and benefits administration in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Review and update compensation packages to maintain competitiveness.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data confidentiality.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and employment regulations across all entities.

Health & Safety:

  • Promote a safe work environment by ensuring health and safety policies are in place.
  • Conduct safety audits and ensure adherence to workplace safety standards.

HR Analytics & Reporting:

  • Monitor HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates, employee satisfaction) and prepare reports.
  • Use data to make informed decisions on HR strategies and programs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Professional HR certification is an advantage.
  • Experience managing HR across multiple entities or companies.
  • Strategic thinking and leadership capabilities.

Reports To: Chief Talent Officer (CTO)

Location:

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with occasional travel between company locations as needed.
  • Office-based with potential for hybrid working arrangements.
