Job description

The backbone of our team, the enforcer of efficiency, and the champion of company culture.

Hi, my name is Marcus Ho, and I’ve run Brew Interactive for the past 16 years. We’re a 50-strong team of some of the most talented digital marketers, SEO managers, and content producers in the industry. And here’s what they all had to say about what’s it like working at Brew – Watch here.

Unlike most agencies, we do things differently. We’ve flipped the traditional agency model on its head – zero office politics, remote-first culture, and a relentless focus on getting sh*t done for our clients. We believe in working smart, not just working hard.

And now, we’re looking for you – someone who can help us scale without losing our culture and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities - What You'll Be Doing

You’ll wear multiple hats across HR, operations, and special projects to ensure Brew runs like a well-oiled machine. This isn’t just an administrative role – it’s a high-impact leadership role that will influence how we hire, onboard, manage, and optimise our people and processes.

HR & Talent Acquisition

  1. Always be recruiting – constantly building a pipeline of top-tier Performance Marketers, Project Leads, Account Directors, and Designers (even if there are no open roles).
  2. Own the end-to-end hiring process – from first-round interviews to reference checks, negotiating offers, and making the final hire recommendations.
  3. Ensure top talent retention by running biannual appraisals and crafting employee growth plans.
  4. Enforce work-hour tracking and task updates on our softwares – ensuring full accountability across the team.
  5. Plan monthly team meetups to maintain team cohesion and collaboration.
  6. Offboarding: Ensure all accounts and access are properly decommissioned for departing staff.

Operations & Process Optimization

  1. Seamless onboarding for new hires – ensuring they set up and integrate into our tech stack smoothly (e.g. Slack, Monday.com, etc.).
  2. Work with internal staff to track client renewals and ensure accurate Monday.com & internal sheet updates.
  3. Onboard new clients – setting up workflows, Slack channels, and project boards.
  4. Generate monthly renewal reports and keep leadership updated.
  5. Manage client offboarding – sending surveys, closing project accounts, and streamlining documentation.

Special Projects & Business Optimization

  1. Lead the development of an internal budget monitoring tool (working with finance & developers).
  2. Build a bandwidth forecasting model to help leadership allocate resources effectively for upcoming projects.
  3. Roll out and implement new tech tools across the company, ensuring adoption (e.g., Calendly for scheduling).

The Challenge & Opportunity

This isn’t a “maintain the status quo” role – we’re looking for someone to take ownership, solve problems, and help us scale to the next level. If that excites you, we want you on board.

Apply now and let’s make Brew even stronger, together.

Must-Have Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of experience in HR, operations, or a similar leadership role (ideally in a remote-first or agency environment).
  2. Proven experience in talent acquisition – you should be comfortable sourcing, interviewing, and closing top-tier candidates.
  3. Strong operational and project management skills – experience using tools like Monday.com, Slack, Google Sheets, TimeCamp, and other workflow automation tools.
  4. Excellent organizational skills – ability to enforce accountability and track team progress without micromanaging.
  5. Experience handling employee engagement and performance management – including biannual reviews, retention strategies, and onboarding programs.
  6. Process-driven mindset – ability to design, implement, and optimize operational processes that scale.
  7. Tech-savvy and adaptable – able to quickly learn and implement new tools like Calendly, budget monitoring tools, and forecasting models.
  8. Strong communication skills – clear, direct, and able to collaborate with different teams across various countries.
  9. A no-nonsense, results-oriented mindset – you take ownership, get things done, and thrive in a high-performance environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Bonus Points!)

  1. Experience in a marketing agency, consultancy, or fast-growing startup.
  2. Understanding of Singapore/Malaysia employment laws and HR best practices.
  3. Experience working with finance teams or developers to implement operational tools.
  4. Ability to automate workflows and improve efficiency using AI tools, scripts, or software.

Personality & Work Ethic Fit

You’re a self-starter who thrives in a high-autonomy environment – we don’t micromanage. You love structure, data, and process optimization – if something can be made better and more efficient, you’ll do it. You enjoy fast-paced, high-impact work – this isn’t a sit-back-and-observe role; you’re here to build and improve. You’re great at managing people, but also comfortable making tough calls when needed.
