Responsible for the full spectrum of Human Resources functions which include: recruitment & selection, compensation & benefits, training & development, manpower planning, performance management, employee relations, industrial relations, and payroll administration;
Responsible for introducing and implementing various activities such as communication and prompt resolution of grievances to ensure the employer-employee relationship is developed, maintained, and improved.
Manage employee conflicts and provide counseling with respect to disciplinary issues and grievances, conduct domestic inquiries, and manage industrial relations as required;
Enforce management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
Ensure the HR team liaises and complies with all statutory requirements such as the Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, EPF Act, SOCSO regulations, etc.
Review Compensation and Benefit schemes whenever necessary.
Cultivate professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Responsible for disciplinary actions for underperforming employees or employees who have committed misconduct.
Implement appropriate measures for employee job performance evaluation (KPI).
Lead and ensure the HR team performs accordingly.
Oversee administration tasks like building facilities management, utilities billing, licensing & certification matters, and other admin-related tasks.
Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by senior management.
Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management/ Business Administration or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 3 years of working experience as HR & Admin Manager is required, especially in the Retail Industry.
Preferred Mandarin Speaking Candidate due to communication purposes.
Strong knowledge of Employment Act 1955 and Industrial Relations.
Familiarity with human resources manager job responsibilities.
Proficient knowledge of payroll software, statutory payments, claims, and income tax deductions.
