Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and counsel to senior leadership on HR matters, ensuring HR initiatives are integrated into business plans.
  • Talent Acquisition and Management:
    • Oversee the recruitment process, including candidate sourcing, selection, and onboarding.
    • Develop and implement talent management programs, including succession planning and performance management.
  • Employee Relations and Engagement:
    • Promote a positive work culture by fostering open communication, resolving employee concerns, and promoting diversity and inclusion.
    • Drive employee engagement initiatives and create an environment where employees feel valued and motivated.
  • Training and Development:
    • Identify training needs and develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
    • Support career development and growth opportunities for employees.
  • Compliance and Policy Implementation:
    • Ensure HR policies and procedures are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
    • Lead efforts to implement and communicate HR policies and programs.
  • Benefits and Compensation:
    • Manage the company's compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and fairness.
    • Oversee payroll and related processes.
    • Prepare annual budget for companywide manpower payroll costing, departmental expenses costing.
  • HR Analytics and Reporting:
    • Utilize HR data and analytics to drive informed decision-making and track HR KPIs.
    • Prepare and present HR reports to senior leadership.
  • Oversee the overall general administration of the premises, office maintenance, cleanliness, and security.
  • Application of relevant business licenses, work permits, and visas.

The Person:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Proven experience as an HR manager in the retail industry or a similar fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence positive change.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin speaker is required for reporting to China HQ.
