About the role

We are seeking a driven and organised Junior HR & Admin Assistant to join our team at Hong Poh Engineering Construction Sdn Bhd in Paya Terubong, Penang. In this full-time role, you will provide essential administrative and HR support to ensure the smooth running of our operations.

What you'll be doing

• Assist with the full range of HR administrative tasks, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and employee records management
• Provide general administrative support, such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of office systems and procedures
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to address queries and resolve issues
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as required to support the overall business objectives

What we're looking for

• Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail
• Experience in a junior HR or administrative role, preferably in the construction industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and comfortable with data entry and record-keeping
• A proactive and problem-solving mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service
• Proficiency in reading and writing Mandarin is highly desirable and will be considered an added advantage for this position
