Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee all housekeeping operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, maintaining high cleanliness standards, and ensuring the timeliness of service delivery across the entire homestay. The role involves problem-solving, managing daily workflows, coordinating maintenance and deep cleaning schedules, and fostering a collaborative environment between departments to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and enhance all housekeeping operations, ensuring cleanliness and timeliness across the entire homestay according to company business objectives.
  • Lead, train, and coach the housekeeping team to ensure high service standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Resolve operational issues effectively, applying problem-solving skills to address challenges promptly and maintain smooth workflow.
  • Manage daily inspection of facilities, coordinate maintenance and special cleaning assignments, and ensure timely completion of routine and deep cleaning schedules.
  • Promote teamwork and maintain a collaborative environment, working closely with all departments to ensure smooth operations and the highest level of guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness across rooms, ensuring all tasks such as bed-making, dusting, vacuuming, bathroom sanitization, trash removal, and kitchen cleaning are completed according to established procedures.
  • Manage housekeeping supplies, minimize waste, and control inventory to meet operational needs while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Provide solutions for special situations and implement corrective actions in line with company policies.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess a minimum SPM or a Certificate/Diploma in Hotel Management, and/or have attended housekeeping-related courses.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a positive attitude, capable of working independently and leading by example to inspire team performance.
  • Experience in managing a team of housekeeping employees, with the ability to motivate and ensure consistently high standards of cleanliness and service.
  • Solid understanding of housekeeping processes and procedures, with an ability to improve operational efficiencies and meet quality standards.
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Must be a Malaysian citizen.
