Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of housekeeping staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules, procedures, and protocols to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and guidelines related to cleaning procedures and chemical handling.
• Implement and enforce proper safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Provide training to housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and customer service.
• Encourage professional development and provide opportunities for advancement within the department.
• Implement eco-friendly cleaning practices and initiatives to promote environmental sustainability.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and conserve resources within the housekeeping department.

Job Requirements

• At least high school diploma, degree, or certification in hospitality management, hotel management, or a related field may be preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in housekeeping or cleaning services, with progressively increasing responsibilities.
• Certification in housekeeping management or related field may be beneficial.
• Training in health and safety standards, such as OSHA regulations, may be required.
• Understanding of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
