Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure the best possible service.
  • Monitor all the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including the cleanliness of all guest rooms and public areas daily.
  • Establish and enforce high cleanliness and hygiene standards for guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Lead, hire, and train hotel housekeeping staff to adhere to our high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.
  • Assign specific duties to housekeeping staff, including room cleaning, laundry services, and public area maintenance.
  • Oversee the housekeeping department budget, take inventory, and ensure there is a stock of adequate cleaning supplies.
  • Document areas cleaned by room attendants and report any issues such as room damage or maintenance requests to the front office.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is in proper working condition.
  • Recruit, hire, and train new housekeeping associates.
  • Ensure the availability of materials and equipment.
  • Perform staff reviews and encourage teamwork among staff.
  • Resolve customer problems and complaints.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Hotel Management or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years relevant working experience, preferably in a hospital environment at the supervisory level.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
