Hotel Accounts Clerk

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Hotel Accounts Clerk to join our team at De Hotel Ipoh in Ipoh, Perak. As a full-time employee, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth running of the hotel's accounting operations.

What you'll be doing

• Accurately recording and processing all financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments
• Reconciling bank statements and maintaining the general ledger
• Generating financial reports and statements as required
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly and annual budgets
• Liaising with hotel management to provide financial information and support
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting regulations and hotel policies
• Providing administrative support to the finance team as needed

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably within the hospitality industry
• Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills
• Proficiency in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with colleagues and hotel management
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and practices
• A relevant accounting qualification or certification would be an advantage
