Healthcare Assistant

Key Responsibilities

1. Patient Care:
   - Assist patients with personal care tasks
   - Monitor and report changes in patients’ physical or emotional conditions to the nursing/psychology team.
2. Support in Clinical Tasks:
   - Take and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
   - Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and other routine procedures under supervision.
   - Ensure that medical equipment is clean, sterilized, and prepared for use.
3. Emotional Support:
   - Provide companionship and reassurance to patients, promoting their mental and emotional well-being.
   - Support patients in maintaining independence and dignity during care.
4. Hygiene and Cleanliness:
   - Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms and care areas by adhering to infection control protocols.
   - Assist in changing bed linens and keeping patient environments tidy.
5. Administrative Duties:
   - Maintain accurate patient records, including documenting care provided and changes observed.
   - Help with scheduling appointments and coordinating transport for patients if needed.
6. Team Collaboration:
   - Work closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
   - Participate in team meetings and training sessions to improve care delivery.
