Job description

JOB OBJECTIVE:

The Head of Strategic Communications is responsible for leading the development, execution, and management of Cagamas Group of Companies corporate and marketing communication strategies. This includes external communications, public relations, branding, media relations, content development, and marketing campaigns. This role ensures that the company's reputation, brand and message are consistently communicated across all channels, driving business growth, enhancing brand image, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Communication Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate communication strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of marketing communication strategies to strengthen brand presence, improve public perception, and engage target audiences.
  • Lead and manage a team of communication professionals in executing corporate and marketing initiatives.

Brand Management & Messaging:

  • Ensure consistent and effective messaging across all marketing and corporate communications, both internally and externally.
  • Oversee the development of brand guidelines, tone of voice, and communication style.
  • Ensure that all communication reflects the company’s values and vision.

Public Relations & Media Relations:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets and journalists to promote the company and its initiatives.
  • Develop press releases, media kits, and pitches to secure positive media coverage.
  • Oversee crisis communication planning and execution as needed.

Content Creation & Digital Communication:

  • Oversee the creation of high-quality content across various platforms (websites, blogs, social media, newsletters, and other marketing materials).
  • Drive digital marketing campaigns, social media engagement, and online reputation management to enhance the company’s digital footprint.
  • Manage the creation of multimedia content (videos, infographics, whitepapers) to support marketing and corporate communications.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as a liaison between the company and external stakeholders (investors, customers, media, etc.) to ensure consistent communication.
  • Engage with senior leadership to ensure corporate messaging is aligned with overall business objectives and market positioning.
  • Provide communication support for investor relations, corporate events, and high-profile initiatives.

Performance Measurement & Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of corporate and marketing communication strategies.
  • Report on communication outcomes to senior leadership and adjust strategies as needed to improve effectiveness and achieve KPIs.
  • Stay up-to-date with communication trends and best practices, incorporating new approaches and technologies into strategies.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • At least 8 –10 years of experience in corporate and marketing communications, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of branding, media relations, and digital marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience managing a team, developing content, and working across multiple communication channels (traditional, digital, social).
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of crisis communication and handling media in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in communication tools and technologies (e.g., social media management tools, CMS, CRM, analytics platforms).
