About the role

JY Development Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Head of Property Development & Project Management to lead and oversee all aspects of their property development projects. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth and expansion plans through successful project delivery. This is a contract position based in Selangor with travelling to project sites expected.

What you'll be doing

• Providing strategic leadership and direction for the property development and project management functions.
• Conducting due diligence or market research and feasibility studies of real estate development, land acquisition and other investment opportunities.
• Overseeing all stages of the project life cycle, from feasibility studies and design to construction and handover.
• Managing the proper conduct of the whole tender and contract process, from tender invitations, reviews, negotiations to award and contract.
• Developing and implementing project plans, budgets, and timelines to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Managing and coordinating cross-functional teams, including design, construction, and commercial teams.
• Identifying and mitigating project risks, and implementing appropriate risk management strategies.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Driving continuous improvement and innovation in the company's project delivery processes.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience in property development and project management, preferably in the construction industry with good technical background in architectural or engineering.
• Strong track record of successfully delivering property development projects, in particular residential projects.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, coordinate, and control project activities.
• In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry regulations.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to think strategically.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in architectural, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
