Head of Sales & Marketing (Personal Care)

About the role

Kara Marketing (M) Sdn Bhd is a fast-growing company that specializes in FMCG products, including food and personal care products. The company is dedicated to providing quality products to its consumers. The company is seeking a passionate and exceptional individual to join their team as the Head of Sales & Marketing (Personal Care).

This full-time, permanent role is based in Puchong, Selangor. In this strategic position, you will lead the sales and marketing efforts for the company's skincare, cosmetics, and personal care product portfolio, driving growth and market share within the highly competitive industry.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Ensure the overall company's sales operations and marketing strategies are aligned with business goals, driving growth and maintaining a competitive edge in the local market.
  • Lead and drive the sales team to execute the company’s sales plans effectively and foster a high-performance culture, including setting performance expectations, providing coaching/mentoring/training, and ensuring that sales and marketing targets are met.
  • Identify new business opportunities in both existing and untapped markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Develop and nurture long-term partnerships with principals to drive business growth and mutual success.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and implement effective marketing campaigns that enhance brand visibility, customer loyalty, and sales growth.
  • Drive the brand development process, ensuring alignment with consumer needs and market demands.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Provide reports, market insights, feedback, and competitive intelligence to relevant stakeholders to inform decision-making.
  • Recommend strategic initiatives and action plans to optimize sales performance and drive business growth.
  • Manage budget and ensure that resources are allocated efficiently to achieve targets.
  • Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the superior from time to time.

What we're looking for

  • Proven track record of success in a senior management role in sales and marketing within the relevant industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a high-performing sales and marketing team to exceed targets.
  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies.
  • In-depth understanding of the personal care market, including consumer trends, competitor landscape, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strategic business relationships with principals to drive sales growth and secure profitability.
  • Minimum Degree in Business Management / Marketing or any related fields.
  • Ability to travel as required.
