This position is required to monitor and oversee the acquisition, administration and management of student hostels, college facilities, logistics and infrastructures, including IT services, and other college operational related matters to ensure support services are provided in an efficient and effective manner.
Responsibilities
Responsible and accountable for the development, advancement and enhancement of the operational strategy of the department in line with the overall college’s strategic plans and direction;
Coordinate, manage and monitor the execution of work of various units within the department; ensuring all documentation and filing on student hostels, colleges facilities, and IT services are intact and up to date;
Implement, manage and improvise processes and policies in support of all operational plans, inclusive of student hostel occupancy, inventories, tenancy agreements, college facilities and IT resources and infrastructure;
Support the CE in the development of strategic plans for operational activities, constructions, renovations and the upkeep of new and upgraded hostels, college facilities and buildings;
Monitor and manage the overall operations of the department in compliance with the relevant internal and external regulations and practices;
Provide leadership and supervision to subordinates to ensure all staff performance within the department is managed appropriately and consistent with the expectations of the college;
Ensure that fair allocation of processes and workload is in place;
Ensure staff has access to the necessary support and resources that enable them to contribute and perform efficiently and effectively while developing their skills and experience;
Cultivate a culture of excellent cooperation and respect both within and beyond the department;
Ensure manpower resources are being used effectively and efficiently;
Review, prepare, control and keep track of all operational, hostel budget and other financial expenditures;
Liaise with local government agencies, private contractors, suppliers, vendors, and other external parties concerning facilities, contract issuance, resource acquisition and utilization, other relevant institution and industries;
Plan effective strategies for the financial well-being of the college with regard to operational matters.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in the related field;
Knowledge in managing workforce by considering the organization policy and working environment;
Managerial, listening, speaking and decision-making skills;
Ability to work in collaboration as a team and diffuse any hostile work situations;
Possess the knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws.
