Head of Mechanical Assembly

We are currently looking for a Head of Mechanical Assembly for a leading player in the Industrial Machinery Manufacturing Industry for their expansion. This company has a legacy of more than 50 years in Malaysia. This position requires your urgent attention.

The Role

As the Head of Mechanical Assembly, you will lead and oversee the entire mechanical assembly operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards. Your primary responsibilities include managing assembly processes, optimizing workflow, troubleshooting technical issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to enhance product assembly, reduce downtime, and improve overall manufacturing performance. Additionally, you will be responsible for training and developing assembly teams, implementing lean manufacturing practices, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality assembled products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the mechanical assembly operations to meet production targets.
• Optimize assembly line efficiency and minimize defects.
• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot assembly-related technical issues and drive process enhancements.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Lead, mentor, and train assembly teams for skill development.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

The Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with at least 5 years of relevant experience in similar roles.
• Proficiency in Mandarin as this role requires serving a lot of Mandarin-speaking clients.
